Boxing Camp at Surf One with Professional Coach Samantha Romiti
Surf One recently had the pleasure of hosting a 5-day boxing camp in begining of June 2026 led by professional boxing coach Samantha Romiti, Technical Boxing Coach and founder of Counterback Boxing.
Samantha is known for her strong focus on boxing technique, movement, footwork, timing, defense, and smart training methods. With an Instagram community of around 300,000 followers, she has inspired athletes and boxing enthusiasts from around the world through her coaching, training content, and technical approach to the sport.
The camp welcomed mostly participants from the United States, creating an energetic and focused training atmosphere here in Playa Encuentro. Over five days, guests trained, connected, improved their technique, and enjoyed the unique Surf One lifestyle — combining sport, accommodation, healthy food, and rooftop views in one place.
During the camp, participants stayed directly at Surf One, making the experience comfortable and easy from start to finish. Each day began with breakfast, with the possibility of lunch available as well, allowing guests to focus on training, recovery, and enjoying their stay without unnecessary logistics.
Our rooftop sports and gym area provided the perfect setting for movement, conditioning, technical boxing sessions, and group training. With open space, fresh ocean air, fitness equipment, and panoramic views, Surf One offers a special environment for active travelers, athletes, coaches, and wellness groups.
This boxing camp showed exactly what Surf One is built for: bringing people together through sport, training, community, and the Caribbean lifestyle. Whether it is boxing, jiu-jitsu, yoga, fitness, surf, or another type of retreat, our property is ready to welcome groups looking for a unique place to stay, train, and connect.
We would love to host more camps like this in the future. Coaches, trainers, and organizers are welcome to bring their groups to Surf One and create their own training experience in Playa Encuentro.
